There are now over 280 Future Leaders working in more than 200 challenging schools impacting on the life chances of at least 200,000 pupils in disadvantaged areas.

Impact

  • Since the programme started in 2006, there are already 24 Future Leaders headteachers and 3 associate headteachers.
  • Across all cohorts, 95% of participants have successfully gained senior leadership roles in education after their residency year
  • Future Leaders began in London in 2006 with 20 participants. In just 5 years the programme has grown over tenfold, with over 280 Future Leaders working in more than 200 challenging schools – and impacting on the life chances of at least 200,000 pupils in disadvantaged areas.
