Find out here about the ways you can support
us, as a school, education-related organisation, business, funder
and individual to achieve our mission of developing leaders for
challenging schools to enable every child to succeed.
Nominate a candidate
To help achieve our mission, we need to find people with the potential
to lead some of our most challenging schools to become Future
Leaders. If you know of somebody who would make an excellent Future
Leader (see the How to Apply section for a list of qualities we
look for), then let us know by nominating them online and encouraging
them to apply. Often the leaders we look for may not want to put
themselves forward and may not be thinking of headship just now
as the way to fulfil their desire to help pupils from disadvantaged
backgrounds, but with a bit of encouragement and support from
us they could find themselves doing just that.
Consider appointing a Future Leader to your school as a senior
leader
If you are a governor or school leader in a challenging area,
we would urge you to strongly consider interviewing a Future Leader
onto your senior leadership team. Without the experience and insights
gained from working in your school insufficient numbers will gain
what's needed to go on and successfully lead challenging schools
as the current generation of school leaders retire, leaving all
schools with significant succession challenges. All Future Leaders
are carefully selected, and intensively trained, and all have
the potential to make a significant positive difference to schools
in challenging areas, whilst providing them with a potential additional
internal succession candidate when the current head retires. If
you want to talk more about your recruitment needs and are a challenging
school looking to appoint a senior leader, call the Head of School Networks
on 020 7395 2090.
Support Future Leaders financially
As a charitable organisation, Future Leaders receives funding
from a number of sources. Launch costs and financial support for
participants in their first residency training year are provided
from public sources, with funding for the administration, marketing,
and training activities funded through private fundraising. If
you want to make the biggest strategic difference in education,
particularly among disadvantaged communities, why not consider
supporting us as a charity through a grant? You will be joining
the ranks of some of the most savvy and strategic Foundations
and corporate donors in the country. There are many ways to sponsor
Future Leaders financially, and we would be happy to discuss your
needs as a grantmaker and social investor. If you are interested
in exploring sponsoring Future Leaders contact the Head of Communications on
020 7395 2090.
