The Future Leaders programme is now part of the National College's (formerly NCSL) new Accelerate to Headship programme.

Accelerate to Headship has two distinct routes:

Future Leaders – for current or former teachers who are committed to leading a challenging urban secondary school and improving the life chances of pupils, regardless of background

Tomorrow’s Heads – suitable for teachers and professionals who are not teachers who have their sights set on headship in primary, secondary, or special schools

Often the leaders we look for may not want to put themselves forward and may not be thinking of headship just now as the way to fulfil their desire to help pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, but with a bit of encouragement and support from us they could find themselves doing just that.
